What Is EPOKE SIL?

EPOKE SIL is a two-part addition-cure silicone rubber made for artists, crafters, and small-batch producers. It is a mould-making silicone kit that gives you the tools to duplicate any object with studio-level precision without sending it out to a factory.

You mix equal parts of Part A and Part B by weight, pour over your object, and wait. In 4 to 5 hours, you have a flexible, reusable mould that holds every surface detail of the original. The silicone does not shrink. It does not crack. It peels cleanly every time.

Whether you are a jewellery maker, a candle artist, or someone building concrete décor pieces, EPOKE SIL fits the job.

Who Uses EPOKE SIL?

This mould making silicone works across a wide range of crafts and production setups.

Resin artists use it to duplicate hand-carved originals so they can sell consistent pieces at scale. Instead of making every piece from scratch, you pour once, mould once, and cast as many times as you need.

Wax and candle makers use custom silicone moulds because silicone releases wax cleanly with no tearing and no residue. Intricate botanical patterns and geometric shapes come out sharp and clean.

Concrete and gypsum crafters reach for EPOKE SIL when they need repeatable output from a single master design. Planters, coasters, tiles, and decorative panels all work well.

Small sellers and home crafters use it to build a personal mould library over time. Once you have a mould, it costs almost nothing to keep using it.

How EPOKE SIL Works

The process has four steps.

Step 1 - Measure. Use a digital scale to weigh equal amounts of Part A and Part B. A 1:1 ratio by weight is the rule. For example, 50 g of Part A plus 50 g of Part B.

Step 2 - Mix. Combine both parts in a clean container. Stir slowly and scrape the sides and bottom until the mixture is one uniform colour with no streaks. This usually takes 2 to 3 minutes.

Step 3 - Pour. Start from the lowest point of your mould container. Pour in a slow, thin stream to reduce trapped air. The silicone should sit at least 1.3 cm above the highest point of your object.

Step 4 - Cure and remove. Leave it untouched at room temperature (25°C) for 4 to 5 hours. Peel the mould away from the original once it is fully set. It is ready to use immediately.

Casting With Your Custom Silicone Moulds

EPOKE SIL moulds work with most casting materials you already use. Here is what they are compatible with:

  • Epoxy resin - all casting EPOKE Art resins, including Art Resin 3:1 and MEGA CAST Resin
  • Wax - for candles, cosmetics, and gift items
  • Gypsum and plaster - for decorative and architectural pieces
  • Concrete - for outdoor and interior décor

If you are looking to buy silicone resin for mould making and casting in one workflow, EPOKE SIL pairs directly with EPOKE Art's full casting resin range. You make the mould; the resin fills it.

Finished moulds last longest when stored flat on a clean, level surface in a cool, dry space. Avoid direct sunlight and do not stack heavy objects on top of them.

Why Choose EPOKE for Silicone Mould Making?

EPOKE is one of India's few brands that manufactures both the silicone and the casting resin in-house. That means the two products are tested to work together. You are not guessing whether your mould will release cleanly from your resin. The compatibility is built in.

EPOKE SIL is formulated for Indian climate conditions. The working times, cure times, and storage recommendations account for the temperature and humidity ranges that most Indian studios and homes actually experience.

FAQ - People Also Ask

1: What is EPOKE SIL and how is it different from a regular casting resin?

EPOKE SIL is a mould-making silicone, not a casting resin. You pour it over an object to create a flexible mould, then pour a separate casting material (like resin or wax) into that mould. The two serve opposite roles. Casting resin makes the final object; silicone makes the tool that shapes it.

2: Is this mould-making silicone kit suitable for beginners?

Yes. The 1:1 mix ratio keeps measuring simple and leaves little room for error. The 100 g Starter Pack is the right size for a first attempt. It gives you enough material to make a small jewellery mould and test the full process before investing in a larger pack.

3: How many times can I use a custom silicone mould made with EPOKE SIL?

It depends on the casting material and how you handle the mould. Wax and resin are gentle on silicone surfaces and allow many clean releases. Concrete and gypsum are more abrasive and wear the mould faster. With proper storage and care, a well-made mould produces consistent results across many uses.

4: Where can I buy silicone resin for mould making in India?

EPOKE SIL is available at epokeart.com in 100 g, 500 g, and 2 kg sizes. Delivery covers all of India, with free shipping on orders above Rs. 6,000. EPOKE casting resins are available on the same site, so you can order your mould-making silicone and casting material together.

5: What materials can I cast inside custom silicone moulds made with EPOKE SIL?

EPOKE SIL moulds work with epoxy resin, wax, gypsum, plaster, and concrete. They are compatible with the full EPOKE Art casting resin range, including Art Resin 3:1 and MEGA CAST Resin. Always ensure the mould is fully cured before filling it with any casting material.
